FDKM organises courses to obtain the qualification of “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR”. The Course provides a training course divided into 8 coloured belts (white, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, brown, black) divided into 3 levels (basic, advanced, expert). Each belt progression of the Operator is subject to passing a specific examination to obtain the qualification and/or level of “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR”. Each module has a specific teaching programme and a minimum of training hours.
1ST BASIC LEVEL
80-hour training session from white belt to orange belt.
CERTIFICATES ISSUED
At the end of the 40th hour the athlete will reach the first qualification of yellow belt, in the next 40 hours he will reach the qualification of orange belt.
During the examinations, the athlete must demonstrate good familiarity and fluency in the application of defence technique with emphasis on balance and control.
Minimum time required to obtain the 1st basic level is 80 hours of actual training..
Upon overall completion of the 80 hours, the athlete will acquire the qualification of “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR – 1st LEVEL BASIC”.
2ND ADVANCED LEVEL
120-hour training session from green belt to purple belt.
CERTIFICATES ISSUED
At the end of the 40th hour, the athlete will reach green belt status, in the next 40 hours he/she will reach blue belt status and in the next 40 hours he/she will reach purple belt status.
During the examinations, the student must demonstrate that he or she has mastered the basic techniques and landings very well, must have a good choice of time to apply the technique and know the principles of anticipation.
Minimum time required to obtain the 2nd advanced level is 120 hours of actual training.
Upon overall completion of the 120 hours, the athlete will acquire the qualification of “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR – 2nd ADVANCED LEVEL”.
3RD LEVEL EXPERT
80-hour training session from brown belt to black belt.
CERTIFICATES ISSUED
At the end of the 40th hour, the athlete will achieve brown belt status and in the following 40 hours will achieve black belt status.
During the examinations, the student will have to prove that he or she has mastered all the techniques learned so far, will have to be well versed in the principles of unbalancing and landing, levers and their correct application, and will also have to have an excellent choice of time for the application of techniques and be well versed in the principles of anticipating them.
If you want to pursue a career as an instructor, you will also need to have the technical knowledge to be able to independently teach a lesson of the lower qualifications and/or belts, and have the ability to properly motivate athletes and handle every possible scenario.
Minimum time required to obtain Expert Level 3 is 80 hours of actual training.
Upon overall completion of the 80 hours, the athlete will acquire the qualification “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR – 3rd LEVEL EXPERT”
COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Everyone, without age limits, can participate in the courses to acquire the qualification of “FDKM ISRAELI JU-JITSU – KRAV MAGA OPERATOR” and be in possession of:
- FDKM membership (budopass and current sporting year stamp);
- Annual membership for the current sporting year with a sports promotion organisation (e.g. AICS);
- Mandatory basic insurance;
- Non-competitive medical examination (valid for one year);
- Electrocardiogram examination (valid for two years).
At the end of each level, upon passing the examination, the athlete will be issued a certificate of qualification acquired and a certificate of belt acquired.
